Lux Soren Lyricist | Psychologist behind the pen

For every story told—and those left unspoken.

I'm the creator of the Lux Soren Project, an Australian lyricist who lives in Flinders, Victoria—a quiet, windswept corner of the Mornington Peninsula where the country meets the ocean. From this stillness, I weave my lyrics into luminous indie shoegaze dreams, brought to life through AI-generated music and vocals.

Each song is a whispered reflection—tender and otherworldly—offering a space to soften, to remember, and to begin again. My music isn’t just meant to be heard; it’s meant to be felt—a quiet companion for the moments in between.

While Lux Soren isn’t my given name, it’s the name I’ve chosen for this musical journey—one that lets me blend my lived experience and therapeutic work as a psychologist into something creative and deeply human. I have spent decades walking alongside others—listening deeply to their stories, offering hope, and helping them feel less alone.

My lyrics are shaped by the thousands of lives I’ve had the privilege to witness. They speak to invisible wounds and quiet hopes, and they carry the belief that even our most fractured parts can be held with care.

Each song I create carries the raw tenderness of lived experience—the journey of survival, the sacredness of healing. These songs are for those I’ve walked beside and for those I’ll never get the chance to meet.

If even one song makes someone’s path feel a little less lonely, a little more bearable, then every moment spent bringing this work to life has been worthwhile.

The Meaning Behind the Name: Lux Soren

The name Lux Soren was chosen with deep intention—a pseudonym that holds both contrast and cohesion, light and ache.

“Lux”, derived from the Latin word for light, speaks to hope, clarity, and the gentle illumination that comes after darkness. It represents the flicker of something true in the midst of confusion—what music often becomes when words alone can’t reach the soul.

“Soren” echoes with quiet depth, inspired by a name often associated with introspection and philosophical searching. It suggests the ache of feeling deeply, of noticing the world’s edges, and turning pain into poetry.

Together, Lux Soren becomes a reflection of the project’s heart:
A place where raw honesty meets healing light.
A voice for those who feel too much.
A name that doesn’t mask me as the artist, but creates space for something more tender, more expansive—
Not a performance, but a sanctuary.

It’s not about hiding who I am.
It’s about speaking more freely, from the truest parts of me.
